Mission Statement

The Kingman Carnegie Library Endowment Fund develops and encourages the long-term financial growth of the library through annual gifts, endowments, and capital contributions.

Information about our Endowment Fund…

The Kingman Carnegie Library Endowment Fund was founded in 2004 with the SCCF (South Central Community Foundation) to develop and encourage the long-term financial growth of the Library through giving, endowments, and capital contributions. As a nonprofit organization, the Endowment Fund can solicit private gifts from any source, including those not available to a government-funded Library. In addition, the Endowment Fund has developed through SCCF independent and prudent investment strategies to maximize each gift’s benefit to the Library. SCCF is a 501 C (3) Status.

The Library’s Strategic Plan includes these areas of focus:

  • Facilities and Technology: Provide Library facilities that are state-of-the-art,
  • accessible and attractive, and of sufficient size and design to meet the Library’s
  • mission.
  • Funding: Secure stable sources of operational funds and increase supplemental
  • funds obtained from a variety of sources.
  • Services: Build on current Library Strengths, increase access and expand services.
  • Staff: Recruit and retain well-trained and well-paid personnel who live our mission.

The Kingman Carnegie Library Endowment Fund solicits, receives, and administers gifts for the Library’s benefit. Gifts are used to fund enhancements and improvements that the Library could not otherwise afford through its annual operating budget.
